We at Greenfields Chander Nagar believe that a good effective curriculum displays a planned purposeful, progressive, and systematic process to create positive improvements in the educational system. Effective curriculum development has a broad scope, as it is not only about the school the learners and the teachers, but also about the development of society in general. Curriculum planning involves the implementation of different types of instructional strategies and organizational methods that are focused on achieving optimal student learning outcomes. PRE PRIMARY CLASSES
Pre-Primary School comprises Pre-Nursery to class KG. The method of instruction in the Pre-Primary School is “Learning through Play” and is a combination of the traditional and innovative techniques like experiential learning, “project-based learning”, and inquiry-based learning. The students are encouraged to explore and discover things on their own through various hands-on activities. This develops the child’s observation skills, teamwork, and creativity. The spirit of sharing and fair play is also encouraged.
PRIMARY CLASSES
Primary School comprises classes I to V. Here, the main emphasis is on the holistic development of the child. The academic, social, and behavioral aspects take center stage. Students are exposed to various activities, which allow them to discover new ideas and interests.

The Middle School comprises of grades VI to VIII and prepares the students to appear for “CBSE exams” at the end of grade X successfully. The School offers a prudent mix of scholastic and foundational domains that are not mutually exclusive. On the contrary, there is a seamless integration between the two to ensure that the students are acquiring the concepts, skills, and application along with art appreciation, sports, fitness, and tech mastery to become good citizens who are aware of their rights, responsibilities, laws, and governance to contribute meaningfully to the community. The students are encouraged to strengthen their attributes, values, and beliefs to develop their learner profile further.

CO-CURRICULARS
Co-curricular activities can provide students with a lot of interesting and important experiences outside the traditional classroom. As it allows students to explore strengths and talents outside of academics. Also it helps students develop stronger time-management and organizational skills. This gives students an opportunity to build friendship and participate in group activities, outside of the tight circle of the regular classroom. And above all, such co-curricular activities help our students to build confidence and self-esteem.
Assessments
The regular assessment of students’ work is considered crucial to the educational process. Progress is discussed with both parents and students. Each term students’ work in all subjects is reviewed and a result analysis is prepared to decide on future strategies for different achievement levels.
Examination System & Rules of Promotion
- The student's academics and general progress is rated in two-term ending exams in a year. Promotion is based on a comprehensive cumulative evaluation (CCE).
- All students have to maintain a minimum of 75%, attendance including medical leave, to qualify for the promotion.
- The results of the tests are made available to the Parents/ Guardians through Report Cards, which have to be signed by them, and returned to the Class Teacher.
- Pass Criteria: 40% in each subject.
- Chance of improvement examination will be given in one subject only after obtaining 25% marks in that particular subject.
- MEDICAL: No medical certificate will be entertained in any test except in genuine cases about which the details are given below and brought to the notice in time. Assessment in the following cases will be determined on the basis of three Unit Tests and one Terminal Exam:
- a) Prolonged illness—Intimated in advance.
- b) Loss of father/mother or any other incident of serious nature.
- Absentees in any unit test/Examination will keep no claim for Re-test at a later date
- LATE ADMISSION: No weightage will be given due to late admission. However, candidate admitted on migration after having passed half yearly Exam, the attendance and performance of the school last attended will be taken into consideration
- Failure in two successive years in the class will not be allowed to continue in the school.
- SUBJECT INCENTIVE: To outstanding students as per performance in sports, cultural, debate, declamation and inner involvement in school/ District / State/ National level and on over all conduct during the session. Incentive will be given at the time of final results only.
- For satisfactory progress of the child, we expect the parent should meet us after every examination and unit test. All possible guidance and co-operation will be provided for improvement of the child.
We at Greenfields Public school, Chander Nagar, Ghaziabad campus give utmost priority to our counseling facilities. Counseling is an integral part of our school. It starts from Preschool level and goes through the school years with children till 12th standard. It is a process engraved in the education system of our school. Child, parents and teachers all have easy access to Counselor on all levels. Our School Counselor works with students, teachers, parents, and administrators to help ensure that student’s educational, vocational, and emotional needs are being met. Our School counselor provides crisis intervention services and individual and group counseling to help all students develop their educational, social, career, and personal strengths and become responsible and productive citizens. They support a safe learning environment and work to safeguard the human rights of all members of the school community.
They can often be seen working individually and with other educators to meet the developmental needs of all students, including those with special needs or disabilities. They also work closely with other school authorities, health professionals, siblings, and parents. School counselors are also an important part of the educational leadership team within the school. Thus the primary function of the professional school counselor is to work individually and collaboratively with others to implement a comprehensive developmental school-counseling program. This program should focus on the academic, career, and personal/social developmental needs of all students, including those with special needs.
