Student Council

We are committed towards building confidence and self-esteem among students. The School Student Council is a forum where the students cumulatively experience connect between their formal learning and its application in real life situations. It provides opportunity to develop leadership skills by proactively participating in all school processes, sensitize students towards the community welfare. The Student Council ensures adherence to student code of conduct and thereby a safe and conducive environment for all.

STUDENT COUNCIL STRUCTURE

The Student Council takes shape in the month of April, with students of Grades V, X, XI & XII exhibiting leadership, sportsmanship, responsibility, sensitivity, integrity among other traits in a greater measure than their peers becoming proud members of this student leadership body. The Student Council consists of the School head boy, head girl, vice head boy, vice head girl, Cultural secretaries, sports captain & vice-captain, house captains and vice captains of all four houses.

The purpose of student council is:

1. To develop positive attitudes and to practice good citizenship.
2. To promote harmonious relations throughout the entire school.
3. To improve student/faculty relationships.
4. To improve school morale and general welfare.
5. To provide a forum for student expression.
6. To plan special events or projects.

Benefits of being involved in student council include: opportunity to improve reading and writing skills, gain experience in public speaking, and learn how to make a positive impact on school and community environment. In addition, student council serves as a chance to meet new friends and work with a wide Varity of people.

Objectives of the Student council are to :

• Develop positive attitudes and good conduct among the students by joining the hands with heads and the management.
• Provide a democratic form in which students can address those school related issues, which affect their lives.
• Maintain open communication between students and school staff.
• Train students in the duties and responsibilities of good citizenship.



INVESTITURE CEREMONY :

The investiture Ceremony is celebrated with a lot of zeal and zest. The oath is taken by the elected council members to hold the dignity and honour of the school and to carry forward the legacy of the school. The principal congratulates the office bearers and motivates them to be impartial, honest and responsible in discharging their duties with utmost sincerity and to the best of their ability. We advise them to be role models and extended a supporting hand for the smooth functioning of the institution. Their voices and words must vibrate with enthusiasm to discharge their duties with pure determination, dedication and commitment.

The Investiture Ceremony concluded with a special photography session to help relive these memorable moments in future!




Class Monitors :

Every class will be having one class monitor and two prefects responsible for the discipline of their class.
