Life skills have been identified by WHO as “Abilities for Adaptive and Positive Behavior” that enables individuals to deal effectively with demands and challenges od everyday life. Students at Green Fields Public School are encouraged from a young age to take the initiative and go where no man has gone before. Their leadership qualities are nurtured through participation in a competitive house system and student prefectship. As they grow older, their latent abilities as leaders are further fostered through formal training programmes in Life Skills and Adolescent Peer Educators Program and in working towards an elected position on the Student Council. Student-driven initiatives are wholeheartedly supported and enthusiastically lauded with the objective to create and Aware-Responsible-Empowered citizens.
Our Life Skills Programme facilitates the process of:
• Enhancing the psycho-social skills in children that determine valued behaviour
• Including reflective skills such as problem solving and critical thinking
• Focusing on Personal skills such as self-awareness and interpersonal skills of children practice life skills on day-to-day basis
• Promotes qualities such as self-esteem, sociability, tolerance, and action competencies to take action and generate change.
We believe in imparting life skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making through value based education that builds fundamental traits of character like honesty and integrity, compassion, persistence and responsibility so that the learners are better equipped to handle various situations and challenges of life along with academics, importance is also given to physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of the learners.
